If he is guided, he will find the One True God, and will fulfil his need to worship by believing in Him and obeying the Divine Inspiration sent by Him. This is basically the meaning of Islam; surrender to the Lord and Sustainer of the Universe - Allah.

Its funny how we take things for advantage... Its really silly of us weak creatures thinking that taking things for advantage will lead us to our "DESIRED" destination...

Its just as if we are superior to everyone else... I think we should start evaluating our thoughts, & bear in mind that the very next person sitting or walking next to us would be a reason for some sort of success in our matters!!! And we might be indebted to them... Its just like an ecosystem...Everything affects everything... Everything is a reason for everything else's upgrading or degrading....

It just takes a little thinking and putting things in its proper place as its supposed to be (not as we see it) in order to re-assess our priorities & themes of living....

What I command you today is not meant only for today, but for all time. You are expected to remember it and act upon it until you leave this world and go to the next and meet your Maker. " To meet one's Maker brings it back full circle.

Al-Tirmidhi (2616) also narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Mu’aadh, after teaching him some of the laws of Islam, “Shall I not tell you what is the foundation of all that?” I [Mu’aadh] said: “Of course, O Prophet of Allaah.” He took hold of his tongue and said, “Control this.” I said, “O Prophet of Allaah, will we be held responsible for what we say with it?” He said, “May your mother be bereft of you, O Mu’aadh! Will the people be thrown into Hell on their faces or on their noses for anything other than the harvest of their tongues?”Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 2110.

The Wisdom and Benefits behind Fasting

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven."

The term ‘enlightenment’ was not mentioned in the Quran, but the stem ‘light’ was mentioned 43 times, as in these verses : -“Allah is the protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith, the patrons are the Evil Ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (forever)”. -“Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His Will, unto the light, guideth them to a Path that is Straight”. -“O People of the Book! there hath come to you Our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book”. These verses show that bringing mankind out of obscurities (not only one obscurity) to light (not lights) cannot be achieved without God’s guidance to man. An enlightened man is one whom God saves of the darkness of ignorance, non-belief and superstition and brings out to the light of belief, science and true knowledge. In this sense, enlightenment is God’s guidance to man. The Quran, the Bible and the Torah were a light and guidance from God, as in “It was We who revealed the Law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the Prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's Will, by the Rabbis and the Doctors of Law: “for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear Me, and sell not My Signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers”. “And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah”. “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass; the glass as it were a brilliant star: lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the East nor of the West, whose Oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things”. The holy scriptures were messages from God to His prophets to bring mankind out of darkness to light. In this way, God’s guidance is closely linked to light, that is a guidance to Mankind. “Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! For any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light!”. We notice here that light is mentioned in the Quran as a singular noun, whereas obscurities are mentioned as plural. This is a very exact description because God is the source of every light. Therefore, light must be singular, unlike obscurities. A man whom God guides to light lives in permanent enlightenment. God’s light is like no other light. “Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah (acknowledging subjection) - with good-will or in spite of themselves - so do their shadows in the mornings and evenings”. In this analogy, God compares non-belief to obscurities and belief to light. In his book entitled ‘The Synthesis of Eloquence’, Essabouni says: “this is one of the best analogies because non-belief is like the obscurity where the confused is lost, and belief is like light, where the confused is guided. Belief is rewarded with paradise and non-belief is punished with hell”. The meanings of the Quran are the best illustration of the Islamic concept of enlightenment.

Praise be to Allah who answers me when I call Him, although I am reluctant when He calls me, and Praise is for Allah who gives me when I ask Him, although I am miserly when he asks me. This is worth pondering over for those who think of Allah as a tyrannical master imposing his rules over humans.

PILE, Don’t File !

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH, THAT FEEEEEEELING !!! DO U KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT? ITS THE PILES AND PILES OF THINGS TO DO....

Before we begin, let me please say this to those of you who would rather pile than file your papers—it's okay. No, I'm serious. There is nothing wrong with leaving papers in piles as long as you can find what you need when you need it. See, getting organized isn't going to be as bad as you thought. The truth is, there is no right or wrong way to deal with paper. There isn't a Paper Police that will issue you a citation (yikes, more paper) if your papers aren't nice and tidy, filed away in alphabetical order and cross referenced chronologically. Right-brainers are much more likely to want to leave paper out where it can be seen. The problem is we live and work in a left-brain world where papers MUST be filed or else. Or else what? I know a lot of people who have everything—and I mean everything—put away and they can’t find a thing. So stop apologizing for having your papers organized in an unorthodox manner. “Excuse the sticky notes and piles of papers, I'm gonna get to it soon,” we say meekly to those who ridicule and reprimand us for our unique way of working. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's okay to be who you are. There is no shame in being a right-brainer who by nature is visually oriented and likes papers out where they can be seen.

HOW TO KEEP HOPE ALIVE ?

Life on this earth is a period of trials and challenges. Physical life is only temporary; the spiritual life continues beyond the physical realm.

Hope = having anticipation, belief, desire, expectancy, light at the end of the tunnel; aspiring toward something; looking forward to something; being optimistic, assured, reassuring, confident.

Hope is usually described with metaphors of light, such as a ray of hope, a glimmer of hope, light at the end of a long dark tunnel, a beam of sunshine through the stormy clouds, a silver lining in a cloud.
Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

"Verily Allah created mercy. The day He created it, He made it into 100 parts. He withheld with Him 99 parts, and sent its 1 part to all His creatures. Had the non-believer known of all the mercy which is in the hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire."

(Al-Bukhari, hadith 8.476; narrated by Abu Hurayrah [may Allah be pleased with him])

When all hope is lost, then all energy also dissipates. All problems seem bigger than they are when we wear the spectacles of despair (making mountains out of molehills). All problems seem much smaller than they are when we wear the spectacles of hope. Our life in this world is temporary. We need to sow the seeds that will reap the rewards in the Hereafter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is a champion of hope. He never faltered or wavered in his mission to establish the Law of Allah Most High on earth. Despite difficulties, hardships, perseverance, and loss of loved ones, he never fell into despair and gloom. He always maintained his hope and he always placed his trust in Allah Most High. He continually strove against all odds when lesser men would have easily given up, and it was through his fortitude, patience, perseverance, and unshakeable belief that victory came to him. May Allah Most High guide us to the straight path and fill our lives with peace, contentment, bliss and hope.

SECTS ? WHO'S RIGHT AND WHO'S WRONG ?!?!?!

We all know of the famous hadith: The people of Israel divided into 72 sects, my Ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them are in the hellfire, and one of them is in paradise." We asked "which one is saved?" the Prophet (saw) said: "the one that is on what Me and my companions are on today."" [Sunan ibn Majah 3981, Kitaab Al Fitan] When we talk about religions, we have a tendency to forget to include the atheists, who are a very growing factor in the world today. I say to include the athiests because in fact, they do believe something. When they say that there is no God, they deny Allah, but yet when you ask them, "Where did everything come from" they will begin to explain the Big Bang THEORY, Evolution THEORY, and Darwin's THEORY. So when you ask them, "Is this what you believe?" They will say, "Yes!" You ask them, "Have you any proof or is it a THEORY?" That means they do believe something and they have no proof. Therefore, it should be considered a religion according to Islamic terms. What we find today is a large number of people entering Islam all over the world (Side Note: The majority are women are coming first). However, at the same time, we neglect a very serious statistic. For every one person entering into Islam, there are an untold number of people leaving all the religions, including Islam for secularism or absolute disbelief (Kufr). A QUESTION CAME: As an American Muslim I have seen astonishing growth of Islam in our state, But I am also seeing a growth of somthing more then Islam called "Sufism" and "Secular" "Modern" Muslims, Why do think that this growth has also been steady, Is due to the outside forces or is it just Islam, with many groups like the christans. Please explain. THE ANSWER WOULD BE: THIS

Approaching Ramadan

His rebellion against his Lord had to continue the duration of Sha'ban.

The month of fasting has now come to shade and shelter you,

Do not transform it also into a month of sinning.

Indeed! It is a month for glorification and the Qur'an.

Deny your bodily appetites, seeking your soul's salvation.

Eventually, the earth will consume the body.

How many deceased people have you known who fasted?

Amongst your family, neighbors, and brothers.

Death has erased them, leaving you behind.

Get serious [about your religion], for the living are quite close to the dead!

You take delight in the 'Eid outfits being cut out now for the festival.

But soon they will be your burial shrouds.

How long will the person be happy with his worldly home?

Knowing that his ultimate home is the grave.
