Beyond Words

If I worship U in fear of hell, burn me in it
And if I worship U in hope of paradise, exclude me from it
But if I worship U for Your own being
Don't withhold from me Your everlasting beauty
Is it wrong? Worshiping Him for heaven, or out of fear of hell?
I do worship Allah for His Being.. But how about... Can't explain it really.. But I've heard a lot about this topic.. But still don't get it!! I worship Allah 'cuz He's my Lord.. And He's the One & Only Creator.. And I do seek tranquility in this life & the next, while knowing it's only in His Hands.. I want His ferdous.. Wanna see His face.. Wanna see the prophets (peace be upon them).. Fear hell.. Wanna reach safely..

hope i don't upset u, just to clarify, somethimes its hard, but you must undrestand Allah has sent us in this world for a reason, this is all a huge test for us and today islam has become a fashion, this totally upsets me.

therefore it is our responsibility to fullfill our Faraz. And my personnel point of view on this topic is 'somethings are just to be, Allah has an answa to all'.

May he save us from the fire of hell and the punishment, most of all may we save our own backs just by fullfilling our Duties.

May Allah bless you wise women.

Ameen...........

keep up the good work.

"may we save our own backs just by fullfilling our Duties."
You can say that again & again & again & again & again.. Forever..
Wallahi you got it..

Almost everyone knows how to save their backs, but not all those who know it do it..

And as you've said 'somethings are just to be, Allah has an answa to all'..
The problem is, I've heard a lot about this, I even remember this dude, who happened to have lotta knowledge, saying once: "we shouldn't fear hell or want heaven all that much.. We should worship Allah just for Him..".. What did he mean by not "all that much"?!
I do know we're created to worship Him.. But He created heaven & hell for us, as a prize & a punishment..
I believe I shouldn’t discuss this furthermore, as it possibly will lead to doubt.. And to zero sum this equation, I’d say:
"may we save our own backs just by fullfilling our Duties."
And we all do know what our duties are.. hopefully!!

Sister

Just remember when someone tells you something, its best to double check what has been said, like for example, all the Ahadeeth you have on you're post sister, I always double check them.

In regards to the ? you asked me earlier, I will e-mail to you the greatness of heaven, and the punishment of hell, you will then be able to justify what you want, and also it is said ' you must fear hell'.

This Dunya (world) is heaven for the kufar, and the days are going faster and time is getting closer, all the signs of the day of judgement have occured, so many we see infront of our own eyes, we ignore them.

I would like to conclude these and finalise by sending you an e-mail, but before I do, I will say 'Something are to be, Allah Has created us for that one soul purpose, is it that hard to fullifll our Faraz, and to question Allah is Known as Shirk, and this is totally Haraam, We Should not question our Lord nor Should we associate Partners with Him.

This may be alot for you to take in, But,sister remember, its Time that will make all the difference.

Look out for my E-mail.

With recspect............

May allah save us all from the fire of Hell...

Dear Sister sara

Jannat and Jahannam -

Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala tells us very clearly in verse 120 of Surah Al Mai?da:

"To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth,
And all that is therein, And it is He who hath power over all things."

The ultimate reward of Jannah with its unimaginable beauty and the magnificent life that awaits the Ummah of Almighty Allah?s Beloved Nabee Muhammad Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam in the Aghirah (Hereafter) is described and promised in great detail by Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala. So great is His Muhabbat for us that He reminds all of us of the Glorious life, the beauty and the great splendour that awaits us over 193 times in the Most Holy and Glorious Quran.

The meaning of the word Al-Jannah is derived from the Arabic word Jann which primarily means to cover. Hence Al-Jannah means a place that is covered i.e. a place that is covered by trees and plants.
In simpler terms, we all know that a place that is covered by trees and plants is called a garden, whence Al-Jannah came to mean a garden.

Says Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala in verse 35 of Surah Al-Ra?d:

"The parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised!
Beneath it flow rivers: Perpetual is the fruits thereof and the shade therein:
Such is the End of the Righteous; and the end of the unbelievers is the Fire."

This verse in its derived meaning means fruit and enjoyment of all kinds, spiritual as well as other. The joys of Jannah are not like the joys of the Doonya, which fade away or cloy. The joys of Jannah are pure, everlasting, and without any of the drawbacks which we associate with the joys of the sense. The shade of Jannah that Almighty Allah speaks about literally means shelter, protection and security for we all know that shade is one of the delights of a garden.

In this verse, as in other places, the Fire is contrasted with the Garden, as Misery is contrasted with Bliss. We can also imagine other incidents in contrast with those of the Garden, e.g. with the Fire will be drought, aridity and thirst, instead of beautiful rivers; pain and suffering, instead of perpetual delight; no protection against the fierceness of the heat, as contrasted with the cool shades ever deepening as you proceed in the Garden.

Our Beloved Nabee Muhammad Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam said:

"Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala has prepared for His righteous servants what no eye hath seen, and no ear had heard, and no heart hath conceived."

In other words, the external sense organs of humanity cannot give an idea of the rewards and blessings of Jannah and the punishments and agony of Jahannum. The true concept of these two abodes are totally and completely beyond any human comprehension. In the Mishkat-ul-Masabih - We are told that the foundation of Jannah is of silver and gold. The earth of Jannah is of musk, its dust is of camphor, its plants of saffron and its rain of perfume. There are eight stages of Jannah popularly called doors.
They are Adn; Khuld; Al-Nayeem; Mawa; Darus-Salam; Darul - Qarar; Al-Muqama; and Jannathul-Ferdous which is the highest stage of heaven.

Our Beloved Nabee Muhammad Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam said that if any one of his Ummah seeks to enter Jannah they should always pray for Jannathul Ferdous as it is the highest stage of paradise. It is stated in a Hadith that, when Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala created Jannah, He told Sayyidina Jibra?eel Ameen Alayhis Salatu Wasallam to go and visit Jannah. Upon his return from Jannah, Sayyidina Jibra?eel Ameen reported:

"O Allah! By Your Greatness and Glory, whoever comes to know of it, will strive with all their resources to enter it",

That is to say, its pleasures, comforts, enjoyments and untold blessings are so intense that there will be no body who, after knowing and believing, will not strive their utmost for admission into it. Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala then surrounded Jannah with hardships and made it compulsory to display Imaan and Taqwa, perform regular Salaat, give Zakat, observe fasting during Ramadan, partake in Jihad, perform Hajj, display love and Muhabbat for all those around you, obedience to parents etc., as a pre-requisite for admission into Jannah. Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala then instructed Sayyidina Jibra?eel Ameen Alayhis Salatu Wasallam to visit it again. Upon his return he reported to Almighty Allah:

"O Ya Rabbal Alameen! I fear that hardly anybody will be able to enter it."

Similarly, after Almighty Allah created Jahannum, He ordered Sayyidina Jibra?eel Ameen Alayhis Salatu Wasallam to visit it. After winessing the punishments, the horrors, the afflictions and tortures of Jahannum, he submitted:

"O Allah! I swear by Thy Glory and Thy Grandeur that if anyone comes to know of the conditions in Jahannum they will do everything possible never to go near it."

Almighty Allah then surrounded Jahannum with acts of indulgence, such as Shirk, Fitnah, lying and back-biting, adultery and fornication, drinking, cruelty and disrespect towards parents, stealing, Ribah, pride and disregard of the Divine Commandments etc., and then asked Sayyidina Jibra?eel Ameen Alayhis Salatu Wasallam to visit it again. He saw it and submitted:

"My Lord and Creator! I fear that hardly anybody will be able to escape it."

Is Jannah and Jahannum located in any particular geographic area? This also baffles our conception. However, Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala through His Infinite Mercy and Bounty reminds us in
verse 133 in Surah Al-Imran:

"Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) Of the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous."

Jannathul-Ferdous has a tree at its farthest limit called "the farthest Lot tree" i.e. ?The Seedratul Muntaha? beyond which there is no power of man to proceed. This tree is so big that it will take a rider on a swift horse a hundred years just to cover the shade of this tree. The picture of Jahannum is drawn in a concrete manner for easy human conception in the words of the Most Holy and Noble Quran. It is said that the fire of Jahannum burnt for a thousand years then it became red. Again it was burnt for an additional thousand years and then it became black. It is at this stage black with the redness of the flame.

There are seventy thousand valleys in Jahannum with seventy six thousand hillocks in each valley. There is a valley in Jahannum called Jabal Hazan from which this section of Jahannum seeks refuge seventy times a day from the intensity of the punishment and the heat. Jahannum is so deep that if a rock is thrown into it, it will take more than seventy years to reach the bottom. It is also mentioned in the Mishkat-ul-Masabih that the fire of this world that Almighty Allah blessed humanity with originated from just one single flame of Jahannum that had to be washed seventy times before it was brought down to earth. Just one drop of the stench of Jahannum is enough to kill the entire human race.

Says Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala in verses 6, 7 and 8 of Surah Al-Mulk:

"For those who reject Their Lord (and Cherisher) Is the chastisement of Jahannum:
And evil is (such) destination."

"When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth."

"Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask:
"Did no warner come to you?"

Says Almighty Allah in verses 17,18 and 19 of Surah At-Tur:

"As for the righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness."
"Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them,
and their Lord shall deliver them from the Chastisement of the Fire."
(To them will be said:)
"Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your good deeds."

The righteous will be in Bliss far beyond their merits: their sins and faults will Insha?Allah
be forgiven by the grace of Almighty Allah, which will save them from the penalties
which they may have incurred from human frailty. And says Almighty Allah in
verse 21 of Surah At-Tur:

"And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith,
to them shall We join with their families: Nor shall we deprive them
(Of the fruit) of their works: (Yet) is each individual In pledge of his deeds.

As practising Muslims and as sincere believers in Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala we should for ever be most thankful to our Creator and sustainer who has favoured the Ummah of his beloved Nabee Muhammad Sallalahoo Alayhi Wasallam over all other nations of the world. The great Muhabbat that Almighty Allah has for us is clearly shown in verse 110 of Surah Al-Imraan where Allah has confirmed our status:

"You are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind.
Enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong,
And believing in Allah."

In view of this wonderful declaration by our Glorious Creator, we must for now and forever strive with all our resources to glorify and worship none other than Almighty Allah Subahanahoo Wata?ala. The logical conclusion to the evolution of religious history is a non-sectarian, non-racial, non-doctrinal, universal religion, which Islam claims to be. For Islam is complete submission to the Will of Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal. This implies (1) Faith. (2) doing right, being an example to others to eschew wrong, and having the power to see that wrong and injustice are defeated. Islam therefore lives, not for itself, but for mankind.

O servants' of Almighty Allah Jallah Wa'ala! Let us surrender ourselves completely to our Glorious Creator and Exalted Creator - Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal. Give back to Him both the price and the merchandise. Say to Him: "Our souls, wealth and paradise are Yours. Everything besides You O Allah belongs to You. We want nothing but You O Rabbul Ala'meen." You are Gafoorroor Raheem and You are our Creator and Maker.
Ya Ay'yu hal Muslimoon! Let us search for the good neighbour before we look for a house. Look for the companion on the road before we embark on our journey. We who are asking for Paradise, the buying and building of it is done today, not tomorrow. Increase our rivers and let the their waters flow today not tomorrow. Let us all beg for Taubah while the door of Taubah is still open to us.

O you who believe! Be clean and pure, and seek not occasions for quibbles, nor go after sorcery or false gods. Be faithful in your trusts, learn obedience, and settle your quarrels under the guidance of Almighty Allah's Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam. Keep away from hypocrisy and every kind of falsehood. Then will you be admitted to the glorious fellowship with the highest and noblest in the spiritual world.

May He in All His Infinite Mercy, Glory and Bounty grant the Ummah of His Beloved Nabee S.A.W. with Sabir, Imaan, Taqwa and Muhabbat so that we may share His Blessings and Bounty with our children, our families and with the rest of humanity. "O Allah! Increase us with beneficial knowledge, save us from the punishment of the Qabir and the Aghirah and forever keep us on the path of Seerathal Mustaqeem."

Ameen!

We are sent into this world for one reason, the reason being to worship the Almighty Allah (SWT), The whole concepet of heaven and hell is for those who practice islam and for those that are non belivers, for instance, you read a article just on heaven, you feel peace and it will motivate you to practice islam and strengthen your'e imaan.

The prophet Muhammed (saw) was a guide for mankind, he was the perfect example, he left the world when islam was widspread in its four corners, today islam has become a fashion.

Therefore Iurge all muslim brothers and sisters to make effort in the name of Allah, it will benifit us in both Worlds, and the sacrifces the prophet made for us, May Allah Bless him for this islam has reached us today.

It is our duty to set a good example to not only our muslim brothers and sisters, but to the non believers to, as islam is for everybody, and Allah is so great, That, No matter how much of a big sinner you are he may even grant you paradise for one good dead you may have done.

Just remember it is stated and a very famous Hadeeth, to the nearest meaning, 'ALL ACTIONS ARE BY INTENTIONS'.

May Allah Grant us all junnatul fidous and make it easy for us in bothe world.

WHEN AM DOWN AND UPSET and things are going wrong for me sara I turn to this:

Hard times may come to you; you live your life with this simple truth.
Trying to avoid that is really no use, Allah owns me and He owns you.
God brings those trials that come to you, and also blessings just as true.

In this life you know we are passing through this world until we end
And the fruits of all your labors for this life may never reach you.
Seek the reward of Heaven. Subhanallah.
Though all shall pass we know not when from fleeting life to sudden end

The pious ones strive with patience, when all life's pleasures slip away
And for you who achieve this Allah would ease your death for you.

Ask your Lord to help you. Subhanallah.
The pious ones who live with strife, God brings relief in death and life.
Your life will pass as if a moment, in your late years what will you say.

Work while you can, be sincere, and may Allah forgive you.
Follow Islam and you won't lose. Subhanallah.
The people shall deserve it well to dwell in Paradise or Hell.

Work while you can. Be sincere, and may Allah protect you.
Follow Islam and you won't lose.

and man it makes me feel warm and comforted with Allah's blessings.

Dearest Sara,
jzk for bringing this up, I remember hearing this quote and thinking how high a level of imaan has this man (who said it) has reached. I'm not sure if it was a man, from what I recall it was overheard from Rab'a alAdaweyya's night prayers.
Brother Irfan, Jazak Allahu khayran for your posts, they have been very motivating to me. Your poem that Sara has published on her blog is beautiful, and I hope it affects all muslims as it had affected me.

I pray that we all would meet in Paradise... I pray that we'd follow our duties in this hard confusing life... I pray that we'd be true strangers to this Dunia, and that we'd all find our happiness in the hereafter.

One of the Sahaba (r.a.) on his deathbed was seen crying. When he was asked what is it is he crying for when he knows that the hereafter will join him with the propher and his companions, he answered through his tears... that he swears that he isn't crying on this Dunia that always meant nothing to him, but he cries becoz he'll miss the joy that he found in 3 things:
1- Fasting on long hot summers
2- Praying whole nights of the winter
3- Learning knowledge with his companions (R.a)
This story affected me deeply, and I wanted to share it with you all... may Allah help us pass this test safely.

Outlandish...nice one
Asalamualaykum sister, i kinda get what your sayin..Do we all not wanna go to Heaven to see our Creator? Is it a crime not to want Heaven? The Muslim (submitter) should never make Jannah (Paradise) his only goal in life. Verily, the consequence of doing such an action will result in individuals no longer being concerned with whether or not their Lord is pleased with them. Instead, they will always be concerned with and dream about entering paradise rather than thinking about if they are really eligible for it or not, and what they have done to deserve it.
The aim of the Muslim should be to seek pleasure of Allah, whilst hoping to be rewarded by his Lord (with Paradise)for doin so.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
"The Fire is surrounded by shahawaat [desires], and paradise is surrounded by hardship." (Al-Bukhaari and Muslim). We all know that the only way of pleasing Allah (swt) and entering paradise is by following the Messenger Muhammed (SAW) and the Sahabas.Inshalla may we all strive to be like them.

Amen..

Wanting heaven won't lead except to pleasing Allah..
We will (God be willing) enter heaven 'cuz of Allah's mercy.. Not for how great we were..
I wanna please Allah.. By Him.. That's all I want..
And by pleasing Him He promised heaven..
It's made for us.. The mu'mineen..
InshaAllah we ARE mu'mineen & would die mu'mineen..
Keep me in your prayers whenever you remember.. And all muslim brothers and sisters..
And ask for hidaya for the whole world..

May Allah increase our love for Him.. Amen.

The remembrance of His presence is the door to success.. In both worlds..

Sisters

They are both very good points mashallah, and may Allah reward you both, normally when topics or quiries such as these come to my head, i hate to question myself, but i normally turn to Allah, and it is quoted in the Hadeeth, 'The one that remembers and loves Allah, Allah will remenber him and Love him back, And the one that dislikes Allah, Allah will dislike him'.

This means alot, surley to me it does.
May Allah give us the strength and ability to spread Islam in the four corners of the world and praise and reward us for all our good intentions and work.

Like they say 'united we are one, Devided we are apart'.
