My Ramadanic Invitation for you :)

I'd gladly like to invite all of you living here in Abu Dhabi, to the ultimate place ever, where the most amazing blissful ramadanic nights are spent.. Here's my delightful invitation:
Location: Mos'ab Bin Omair Mosque..
Right opposite the Eid Prayer Yard..
You can find out more by clicking on the above map..
Timing: First 20 nights of ramadan,
at isha prayer followed by taraweeh prayer..
And last 10 nights of ramadan,
at isha prayer followed by taraweeh prayer
& then at vigil prayers in the last third of those nights..
**Wish every one could taste the sweetness of those nights..**

Harken! O you who was not content to sin throughout Rajab.
His rebellion against his Lord had to continue the duration of Sha’ban.
The month of fasting has now come to shade and shelter you,
Do not transform it also into a month of sinning.
Recite the Qur’an and glorify [God], with diligent assertion.
Indeed! It is a month for glorification and the Qur’an.
Deny your bodily appetites, seeking your soul’s salvation.
Eventually, the earth will consume the body.
How many deceased people have you known who fasted?
Amongst your family, neighbors, and brothers.
Death has erased them, leaving you behind.
Get serious [about your religion], for the living are quite close to the dead!
You take delight in the ‘Eid outfits being cut out now for the festival.
But soon they will be your burial shrouds.
How long will the person be happy with his worldly home?
Knowing that his ultimate home is the grave.

As salaam alaikum.

Ramadan Kareem!

Two things:

1) I'd love to make the flight over to your masjid for Ramadan -- but right now all my spare money is going aside for Hajj in 2008 insha'Allah.

2) Beauty reflective piece by al-Hanbali. Jazakallahu khairn for sharing.

Ma'as salaama,

nuh ibn

Alaiky assalam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuHu..

First offfff :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I'm sooooooooo glad you'll try making it to the masjid inshaAllah :D

Sultana, I went to your page in hope of finding your e-mail address to e-mail you, but never found any.. Here's mine:
saramhamdy@hotmail.com
Please write me; as I wanna talk to you on the phone, if possible & give you more detail as to where it's located..

Okay, so sheikh Jaber.. He's the imam of prayer in this masjid in ramadan only :( as he doesn't live here in Abu Dhabi.. He only comes every year in ramadan.. May Allah reward him.. And may He accept us all.. Amen

The prayers are kinda long.. from 2 hours to two hours and a half..
Thing is, while reading the verses you feel them.. You comprehend them.. Even if your arabic is bad..
Like when the ayah is about hell, bad people, or bad habbits, he would pause and seek refuge from Allah from being like so..
And if they're about the believers, he'd pause & ask Allah to be amongst them..

And the du'aaaaaaaaaa..
MASHAALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
BE AU TI FUL

If you have kids or any obligations, at least try not to miss the last ten odd nights over there.. He doesn't finish the shaf' & witr after isha in taraweeh, as he continues at vigil prayers (tahajjud).. At around 2 something am.. He notifies us every year before the begining of the last ten nights..

You know, when describing his voice, I won't say oh, he has the most beautiful voice ever.. No, but rather, I'd say he has the most khashi' voice ever..

I hope the whole world would come to taste the sweetness of those blessed prayers.. And may Allah subhanahu wa tala grant us ikhlas.. Amen.

Take care sis :)

PS. looking forward to seeing you there inshaAllah :)
